20 days agoI think they were maybe speaking to the peer-to-peer “hosting” part of peertube. If not enough people are contributing to bandwidth, then more falls back to the server, increasing the cost to run it.

I think in that regard, Lemmy is a forum software just like vBulletin or Discourse is. However, I would really like to see a flat forum with federation.
